Death Star Cake

I really didn't like making this cake because it wasn't perfectly spherical which bothered me.  I know what to do for the next time I make a spherical cake, but I don't plan on making one any time soon :-)

Twins Halloween Birthday cake

Since my boys birthday is only 6 days away from Halloween we decided to have a Halloween themed birthday party.  They loved it and it was so much fun having the kids dress up.

I made this cake using white cake mix which I colored with food dye.  Frosted the cake with butter cream and then colored and rolled fondant.  The toppers are just plastic wind up toys I found in the store.

I used the neon food coloring I found in our local grocery stores.

As you can tell they had a great day!

Lalaloopsy cake

This was one of those hectic weeks and I didn't have time to make a fondant Lalaloopsy cake so I found these plastic cake toppers on Etsy.  She seemed just as happy and I didn't have to do much work.

Here's a simple Chewbacca cake I made for my son's 16th birthday using chocolate frosting and some fondant.

Musk Ox Cake

I made this cake at the request of an old man who wanted a small cake for his wife's birthday.  He told me that she likes white cake, musk oxes, and blueberries.  So I make this small two layered white cake with homemade blueberry filling, cream cheese frosting, chocolate rocks, and fondant decorations.

I loved making the little musk ox.  I think he is so cute.

I made his fur with the help of my KichenAid pasta attachment.
I just hope that when I turn 70 my husband is just as thoughtful.

Cake Push Pops

I found these cute plastic push pop containers and the acryllic stand all on

Strawberry short cake push pops
Made with yellow cake, whipped cream, and strawberries

Here's a Banana cream pie one.
Made with banana pudding, sliced bananas, whipped cream, and  mini Nilla wafers

I made these for dessert one Sunday when we had some friends over.  I like them because they are the perfect portion size for me and the kiddos.  The friends we had over though were Gold mining men with large appetites... one man could easily eat a whole tray of these ;-) So if you make these... make plenty.

Feed My Sheep

Fluffy Sheep Cupcakes

Aren't these adorable?  I made these to give away at church when I had taught a lesson about missionary work.  Here's the link to the lesson if you are interested

This would also be a great Idea for Easter too.  I used pink fondant for the head and ears.  Made the eyes with white fondant and black edible ink pen.  Frosted some cupcakes white.  attached the head and had the kids help with putting on white mini marshmallows (they loved doing this).
